U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald

This is the U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. He is the current United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois. [See their home page and Mr. Fitzgerald's official biography.]

Wikipedia writes:

On September 1, 2001, Fitzgerald was nominated for the position of U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois on the recommendation of U.S. Senator Peter Fitzgerald (no relation), a Republican from Illinois. On October 24, 2001, the nomination was confirmed by the Senate.

Mr. Fitzgerald has investigated and prosecuted drug dealers, gangsters, terrorists, and terrorists' financiers. He was the special counsel in charge of investigating the CIA leak case.

Here are documents for the US v I. Lewis Libby case.

Mr. Fitzgerald currently investigates and prosecutes political corruption in Illinois and is the prosecutor in the Tony Rezko case. Here are the US v. Rezko Trial Exhibits.

I wrote a bit about Tony Rezko here and here.
